Foundation Curriculum

Drawing, Perspective, Figure, Color and Design can be valuable resources regardless of your major. Game Art, Interior Design, Graphic Design and Illustration, Art Education, Fashion Design, all utilize the vocabulary and grammar of design elements and principles. A design element such as Line can be important in designing a room, a game, a character, or an ad.

Advanced/Major-Specific Curriculum

In my own courses, there is more independence, freedom to explore interests, personal concerns, and ideas, along with an emphasis on thematic development and working in series. Students are expected to understand, evaluate, and discuss the work in terms of its meaning, personal and historical context, and formal structure during critiques.
